Indonesian man walks 800km backwards to preserve forests

An Indonesian man began an important mission to raise awareness on forest preservation: he is walking 800km to Indonesia’s capital, backward. Medi Bastoni hopes that his steps backwards will be a step forward for mankind. He wishes to meet President Joko Widodo to ask for a symbolic tree seed, which he will plant on the slopes of Mount Wilis. Medi carries a sign above his head, with the words: “Tanda Bakti Anak Negri”, meaning “A tribute to the motherland.” On being asked why he is walking backward, Medi said that he wants Indonesians to “look back” on the nation’s history. Pak PM Imran Khan on ‘begging abroad’ statement: Have never bowed down to anyone

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is under fire from the country’s opposition which has alleged that he was “begging” abroad. On Thursday, Khan asserted that he never bowed down to anyone. “All my struggle is focused to make our country one of the great nations of the world,” Khan said upon returning to Pakistan from his 3-day visit to the USA. His remarks came in response to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s tweet, “Imran is a ruler, not a leader. Pakistan needs a leader who speaks for all Pakistanis, not just himself”. Src:https://bit.ly/2K4xZnQ
