Bodies of coronavirus victims should be cremated irrespective of religion, says BMC

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Praveen Pardeshi has said that the bodies of coronavirus victims should be cremated irrespective of their religion to avoid chances of transmission and claimed that burial of the bodies will not be allowed. Thieves steal INR 3 lakh while family was in quarantine centre

In Bandipora district of Kashmir, a group of burglars broke into the house of a Covid-19 patient. The incident took place when the house was empty as all family members were lodged at a quarantine centre. Govt to SC, ‘Migration has to be stopped’ amid COVID-19 scare

The central government recently told the Supreme Court that the exodus of migrant workers from the cities to their hometowns will have to be stopped to ensure that it does not aggravate the threat posed by the coronavirus disease. The petition filed by advocates Rashmi Bansal and Anuj Gupta cited the possibility that many of the migrant workers may have been infected by the virus and became carriers of the disease.
