BJP Govt can't build anything, it can only destroy: Rahul Gandhi

The Congress MP (Amethi) Rahul Gandhi slammed BJP government on his Twitter handle by saying that, "The BJP Government can't build anything. It can only destroy what was built over decades with passion and hard work". Gandhi also shared four news articles headlines (including L&T chairman AM Naik's comment on the Indian economy, Indian Railway's plan to hive off employees, a slowdown in the automobile sector and two state-owned telecom operators BSNL, MTNL failing to pay salaries to employees) published over media houses attached to his tweet. ITC quarter1 profit rises by 12.6% to Rs 3,174 crore

FMCG major ITC reported a 12.6% increase in its June quarter net profit to Rs 3,173.9 crore. Revenue during the quarter grew by 5.8% to Rs 11,502.82 crore with cigarette business growing 6% to Rs 5,433.4 crore. The company attributed the sales growth to the paperboards, hotels and non-cigarette FMCG businesses. SBI reports a profit of Rs 2,312 crore in Q1 of FY19-20

India's largest lender's State Bank of India reported a net profit of Rs 2,312 crore for the June quarter of 2019-20, driven by healthy growth in advances and stable asset quality. SBI reported a loss of Rs 4,876 crore during the same period a year ago. The profit for the June quarter was 176% higher than net profit the bank had reported in the last quarter of FY18-19.
