Congress terms CBI action against Chidambaram as 'political vendetta'

The Congress on August 20 questioned the actions of probe agencies against former Finance Minister P Chidambaram soon after his anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the Delhi High Court, and accused the government of targeting opposition leaders and termed the action of probe agencies against Chidambaram as "political vendetta". The Delhi High Court on Tuesday refused to grant him anticipatory bail because he seems to be the "kingpin" and "key conspirator" in the INX media case of money laundering and he needs to be interrogated in custody for the investigation to be effective. The Supreme Court will hear Chidambaram's appeal today. Src:https://bit.ly/2TYRBi9

If mainstream political parties won’t visit, then who will go? it is a sign of intolerance”. On his trip to J&K, he had planned to interact with Congress workers and assess the situation in the valley after the Narendra Modi government scrapped Article 370.
