Pakistani commando, who captured and tortured Abhinandan, killed by Indian Army along Line of Control

Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC) has killed a Pakistani commando (Ahmed Khan) who captured and had reportedly tortured Commander Abhinandan Varthaman when his IAF jet crashed in Pakistani territory on February 26 this year. According to the media reports, Ahmed Khan is a subedar with the Pakistan Army's Special Service Group and was killed in Nakyal sector of the LoC on August 17 when he was attempting to encourage more infiltrators into India. Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was captured after his MiG 21 was shot down by Pakistani forces when he went pursuing a Pakistani jet in the fallout of the Balakot airstrike. Economic slowdown 'Very Worrisome', new set of reforms needed: Raghuram Rajan

Former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan has called slowdown in the economy "very worrisome" and said the government needs to come out with a new set of reforms to revitalise the sectors performing poor. He said government’s top priority should be fixing the problems in power and non-banking financial sectors. The economy is fast losing its growth momentum as a result of a dip in consumption demand and fall in investment activity.  He also called for a new way to calculate GDP of the country. Amazon might acquire Ola’s ‘FoodPanda’ to start food delivery in India

Amazon is planning to foray into the food delivery business in India through its Prime Now service and also held talks with Ola's food delivery unit Foodpanda. Siddharth Nambiar, head of Prime Now in India said Amazon is aiming to launch the service sometime next year. Prime Now will focus on both food and grocery delivery, as Amazon looks to capture a bigger share of consumers wallet. Last month the company also held talks with Uber Eats. SBI aims to eliminate debit cards to promote digital transactions

The State Bank of India is aiming to end debit cards from the banking system. The bank is planning to make this decision to promote more digital transactions and eliminate plastic cards. SBI chairman Rajnish Kumar at the annual FIBAC said, “It is our wish to eliminate the debit cards, and am sure we can eliminate them”. He added that digital banking platform like 'Yono' is the key to achieve a debit card-less country. The SBI has already set up 68,000 ‘Yono cashpoints’ across the country and will soon set up over 1 million within the next 18 months.
