WhatsApp number to report domestic violence launched by NCW amid lockdown

The National Commission for Women (NCW) on Friday launched the WhatsApp number 7217735372 for reporting domestic violence amid coronavirus lockdown. The number has been launched only for the duration of the lockdown till NCW's normal office resumes, it said. Govt decides to issue all pending income-tax refunds up to INR 5 lakh to be released

The Income Tax Department will release all pending income tax refunds up to INR 5 lakh immediately, in a move that will benefit around 14 lakh taxpayers. The department of Revenue under the Ministry of Finance informed that All GST and custom refunds will also be released, which will provide benefit to around 1 lakh business entities, including MSMEs. Lockdown causing strain on economy but essential to contain Coronavirus: AIIMS Chief

AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria told to the private media that India is lucky to not have skyrocketed the covid-19 cases. He also revealed that the team of doctors are looking at containment of disease and to upscale the health facilities.
