Tamil Nadu witnesses 102 more COVID-19 cases, toll reaches 411

Amid Coronavirus pandemic, Tamil Nadu Health Minister C Vijayabaskar informed that as many as 102 people on Friday tested positive for coronavirus in the state. According to reports, out of the 3,684 samples sent for testing so far, 411 have tested positive for the deadly virus while 2,789 were negative. Supreme Court sends notice to Centre on plea for payment of wages to migrant workers

The Supreme Court has sent a notice to the Centre on a plea seeking direction for payment of minimum wages to migrant workers who have been left without work during Coronavirus lockdown. The plea said that fundamental right to life under Article 21 of the Constitution needs to be enforced for migrant workers who are severely affected by the lockdown ordered by the government on March 24. The court has posted the matter for further hearing on April 7. The petition said lockdown led to mass movement of migrant workers, potentially exposing them to Coronavirus. Delhi man files police complaint against father for not following lockdown rules

An FIR has been filed against a 59-year-old man in Delhi based on his son's complaint that he had been violating lockdown rules and further stated that he steps out of the house every day. The FIR stated that when police arrived at the complainant's residence, officials saw the complainant was repeatedly asking his father to get inside the house but he didn't listen to him.
