Chandrayaan-2 leaves Earth's orbit, will touch down the Moon on Sept 7

Chandrayaan-2, India's second lunar exploration mission after Chandrayaan-1 has successfully launched earlier this month. As per the official reports from ISRO now the Chandrayaan has left the Earth's orbit early on Wednesday morning. ISRO said the spacecraft carried out the manoeuvre called 'Trans Lunar Insertion' at 2:21 AM. Chandrayaan-2 is expected to land on the lunar surface on September 7. Src: https://bit.ly/2Z2I8ev

Chidambaram is a rejected leader and only a burden on earth: Tamil Nadu CM Palaniswami

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami slammed Congress leader P Chidambaram by saying the senior Congress leader was “only a burden on the earth". He further said that despite being a Union Minister for long, Chidambaram had not addressed issues concerning the state including the Cauvery river water dispute. The Chief Minister was responding to criticism of his party by P Chidambaram who had said that if BJP tried to make Tamil Nadu a Union Territory, the AIADMK government would accept it. Local Administration to decide on lifting restrictions in J&K: MHA Officials

On being asked when the restrictions will be lifted completely in Jammu and Kashmir, a senior Home Ministry official said that decision on Removal of restrictions in Jammu and Kashmir will be taken by local authorities and not by the Centre. Showing his disappointment over the way things are being reported by the media, he added, ”The administration is taking great pains to ensure life is eased even during restrictions. Bar Council of India imposes 3 year ban on starting new law colleges

The Bar Council (BCI) of India imposed a ban on opening of new law colleges for a period of three years. The restriction will not apply to National Law University if proposed by a state. The BCI said that for the next three years it will focus on improving the existing institutions and those which don’t have proper infrastructure will be shut.
