Police are complicit, call Army to restore peace in Delhi: Sitaram Yechury

CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, in an interview, stated that it is very clear the police are complicit otherwise the riots could not have happened the way it is happening. Yechury further asked the govt to call in the Army to restore peace in Delhi. He added that there has been a provocation for such violence and there have been preparations for such violence. Yechury's statement comes when at least 25 people lost their lives and over 200 received injuries in the communal violence that has raged unabated over the last three days in parts of Delhi. PM should do Naukri Par Charcha and listen to the jobless, says Sitaram Yechury

100 MPs will write to President Kovind to sack JNU Vice-Chancellor, says Sitaram Yechury

CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury, while addressing a public meeting organised by the teachers' association and students' union of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), stated that many members of Parliament, around 100 MPs have been contacted and have decided to write a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind demanding the sacking of the Vice-Chancellor Jagadesh Kumar.
