India's decision to lockdown is far-sighted: WHO

The World Health Organisation's Special Envoy Dr David Nabarro said that there was no evidence of disappearance of Covid-19. He added that India's decision to lockdown the country for 21 days was far sighted and bold because it gave the whole country the opportunity to come to terms with the reality of this enemy. "I think it is courageous of the government, honestly, to take this step and provoke this enormous public debate and let the frustration come out, to accept that there will be hundreds of millions of people whose lives are being disrupted", Dr Nabarro added.
