Iran requests IMF for $5 billion emergency funding to fight Coronavirus

Amid an increase of Coronavirus outbreak across the globe, Iran has asked the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for emergency funding of $5 billion. The state wants monetary assistance so they can fight the Coronavirus outbreak. The Middle East country has witnessed 10.000 cases and around 429 people have been killed due to Coronavirus. South Africa reports its first case of COVID-19

South Africa’s Health Ministry recently stated that they have witnessed their first case of Coronavirus. According to reports, a 32-year-old man contracted the virus after contact with a Chinese businessman. South Africa to take precautionary measures started to screen ports of entry to try to limit the risk of new infections but has not imposed bans on travel to China or other badly affected countries. 2 Indians stuck at Iran appeals govt to rescue them due to the Coronavirus

Amid Coronavirus outbreak, two Indians who went Iran for business purposes, are now appealing the Indian government to rescue them from Iran. Two men identified as Arvind Jadhav and Vedant Kadam from Mumbai are stuck in Tehran, capital of Iran. India getting to know who its real friends are: S Jaishankar on UNHRC’s criticism on CAA

While speaking at the ET Global Business Summit, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Saturday that India is getting to know who its friends really are. He was responding to a question related to the criticism from the UN Human Rights chief and Iran over the CAA, NRC and the recent communal violence in Delhi.
