Mumbai Police files FIR against 150 Tablighi event attendees for negligence

Mumbai Police have registered an FIR against 150 people who attended the religious congregation of Tablighi Jamaat at Nizamuddin in New Delhi last month. They have been charged under the negligent act during the coronavirus outbreak. Delhi's Markaz Nizamuddin, which has been linked to a third of coronavirus cases in the country. US President Donald Trump has openly warned India of facing retaliation if India doesn't supply essential component Hydrooxychoroquine which is used to make anti-malarial drug to fight against coronavirus. "So, I would be surprised if that were his (PM Modi's) decision. He'd have to tell me that. I spoke to him Sunday morning, called him, and I said we'd appreciate your allowing our supply to come out. If he doesn't allow it to come out, that would be okay, but of course there may be retaliation. Why wouldn't there be?" he said. Eight more positive coronavirus cases in Gujarat, total cases jump to 55

A senior health official has reported that the number of coronavirus patients in Gujarat rose to 55 with eight new cases coming to light on Saturday. Three were reported in Ahmedabad, two in Gandhinagar and one each in Vadodara, Mehsana and Gir Somnath districts. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that with the number of cases increasing, the government has decided to set up a 100-bed isolation hospital at every district headquarters.
